Bookkeeping

We support Quickbooks but we can do your bookkeeping for you from a simple Excel spreadsheet to any other software that you may have that can be opened externally. With the pending Making Tax Digital (MTD) from HMRC we can provide Quickbooks at a discounted price that will allow you to do it yourself with the minimum of hassle or we can jointly run the bookkeeping. We have clients who prefer to use Quickbooks for the ease of recording and sending out Sales invoices and downloading their bank transactions and the allow us to enter all the purchase invoices and deal with the bank reconciliation and VAT / Payroll returns which ultimately concludes with the end of year accounts. This means the clients reduce the bookkeeping charge whilst using the bit of Quickbooks which enhances their business cash flow and using us to ensure compliance on the purchase side.

Our standard bookkeeping charge is a very competitive, hourly rate, please ask for details.

To give you some idea of how much bookkeeping may be required for your business then it would be fair to use 60 invoices per hour as an estimate of how much time we would charge although for builders there may be CIS to be added to the time. We will agree a fixed charge based on information supplied and then review it after 3 months so that we both know exactly where we are going forward. If there are any time saving issues we can pass onto you then it is in both our interests to make this bookkeeping as cost effective as possible. You will appreciate this 60/hour estimate is determined by how much data you wish us to capture and again this will be discussed at the engagement stage.
